Community watch parties

Watch together from wherever you are

Ask The World watch parties use Teleparty to synchronize playback and provide a shared text chat. Participants can use the desktop browser extension, and Android users can use the Teleparty mobile app for supported services.

Before the event

What each participant needs

  • A desktop or laptop computer with the Teleparty browser extension, or a compatible Android phone or tablet with the Teleparty app
  • For desktop use, a current Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser
  • For Android use the official Teleparty app from Google Play
  • Access to the selected title through your own Netflix or Amazon Prime Video account
  • The private Teleparty invitation link provided by the host
  • A stable internet connection and enough time to test before the scheduled start

Compatibility

Desktop browsers and Android are supported, with important differences

Teleparty is available as a desktop browser extension and as an Android mobile app. The Android app remains in beta and does not support every service or every feature available through the browser extension. Check the event announcement and Teleparty's official support page before relying on a mobile device.
